AirPrinters BABY:-)!!!

Ok, so a friend and paraprofessional at the school, Mrs. Bredman,  JUST called me to come and see if I could get her Wireless HP printer to print using her iPad.  I finally had to hang up and say, "I'll be right there!"  As if THAT was the answer -  not sure but I KNEW I could figure it out - right??!!  Once there I STILL couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong - the IP address was correct - I printed a diagnostic page and ALL was perfect!  DUH OBVIOUS - you have to have an AirPrinter or a converter for these capabilities to print from your iPad:)!!  You CAN you things like an HP ePrint App which I told her to TRY as it's free, and maybe would work - but not sure the outcome yet.  Also - there is also a converting device you can buy, not sure the name - I'll get back to you on that - that we learned about at TIES.  We actually bought one, but you can only have ONE network on it - and since we have both a Student and Staff network - Casey is trying to fig

MOVE 21 Rotation

Good Morning everyone:)!!  I apologize for NOT getting something posted last week - wow - where does the time go??  School goes FAST but summer SO much FASTER:)!!  I have had a little time off that hopefully I am back and ready to start working again now (at least a "little" bit).      A third grade teacher, Mrs. Tonsfeldt, was asking me the other day about doing a technology rotation.  When I taught 5th grade, we taught three rotations; Science, Social Studies and Art/Technology.  I taught students Word, PowerPoint, Excel, in addition to incorporating artists and pieces of work into that.  We split the quarter into thirds, and saw the students each day for an hour during those 13 days or so - then we would switch classrooms and teach the next group.  I LOVED teaching this way; not only did you have a "SOLID" chunk of time to get something done (better than that 25 minutes three times a day), but the students could also focus on ONE thing at a time and learn is

It's Summer:)!

WOW!!  This is the FIRST time that I have sat down and actually LOOKED and USED my Macbook since the last day of school - I AM able to function without it - well momentarily anyway!:-)  Just giving you a little bit of an agenda as far as MY summer goes and what I hope to accomplish: 1.  All apps will need to be updated before putting them on the iPads - probably not going to do this until August - or right before we put the apps on as you know that updates come out ALL the time 2.  Some teachers have given me material to make QR codes for them - LOVE THEM REMEMBER:)!!  I am SO excited about these - haven't started yet, but a project that needs to get done! 3. Mrs. Gross, an English teacher, and I are going to create a digital textbook on English basics - kind of a resource for her 12th Grade English class.  We haven't started this yet either (common theme here;) but will as we are going to try to have a GOOD chunk done before the end of June. 4.
