GREAT. IDEA. MRS. WILLERS!

   One of our Kindergarten teachers, Mrs. Willers, uses these GREAT little cards.  She uses the cards during her Centers/Guided Reading time. When the kids go to the iPad center, she has 3 choices of apps displayed in the pocket chart using the cards.  They can go back and forth from these apps during their center time to practice specific skills that she wants to review/work on.

 Here is what they look like:

     The BEST part - the top says which folder they are in - there's an icon to show what the app looks like - and underneath the app is what the name of it is as it appears on their iPads - BRILLIANT:)!!

Another SUPER GREAT idea from an amazing Kindergarten teacher - hands down - and so so practical!

I LIED!!! I TAKE THE THANK YOU TO APPLE BACK:(!!! UGH!!!

  All went well yesterday after we had done the Apple Configurator update - here were a few that we had to put into recovery mode, etc... which wasn't GREAT- but worked alright.  Students had to put in email address again as well as Schoology, no big deal.  Some lost their camera roll pictures - not the TOTAL end of the world.  But TODAY - 5 kids have LOST EVERYTHING!!! UGH!!  I don't do ANYTHING different with these iPads that I don't do with the others that have worked fine - so WHY?????????????  A senior girl and a freshman boy lost EVERYTHING!  It COMPLETELY WIPED their iPads and reinstalled ALL again - WHY???????????  I want to call Apple but I am TOO MAD to call as I wouldn't be anything tactful at all - so I sit and ponder what it might be - maybe I should use another word than Ponder, I guess they're throwing him back in next week, huh??:):)  I just don't know what to do.  AND the part that gets me the MOST is Apple KNOWS that sc...

More on Cyberbullying

Here's some more information regarding Cyberbullying to check out.  It's QUITE scary to think about all that children have to deal with nowadays!  The instant EVERYTHING - UGH!!  BUT, we as teachers, role models and parents can help and try to stay proactive.  Here is another link by Wiz Case to check out: A Comprehensive Cyberbullying Guide for Parents The more informed we are - the BETTER off we are as a whole.  This is such a tough and unfortunately never ending topic - good luck with this and PLEASE PLEASE share anything you have, anything you know, and keep your eyes out for all kiddos:)!!
